What Love Means #4 — Something I Need to Tell My Kids

What Love Means | Part 4

Something I Need to Tell My Kids

Through my 40s, I didn't think much about it.

Now that I'm in my 50s, thoughts I never used to have keep showing up.

My wife carried groceries home from the store, and her shoulder hurt so badly she could barely work the next day.

Hearing that, I made a note of something I need to tell the kids.

"When I'm not around,
even if your mom says she's fine,
you two carry the bags."

Back in their teenage years, those two gave us such a hard time.

They put us through so much back then.

And now, it turns out
I'm not the only one she can count on anymore.
